Bethesda Therapeutic Massage Center Policies.

Massage Therapist Code of Ethics.

Therapists at Bethesda Therapeutic Massage Center are independent contractors. We provide behavioral guidelines. All therapists are asked to abide by the Code of Ethics of the industry standards described by the American Massage Therapy Association.

Arrival Time.

Please arrive 10 minutes before to your appointment. This allows time for discussion of any changes in your health or medical history. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours and you will still be responsible for the full service fee.

We require 2 hour advance notice when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment.

Right of Refusal/Termination of a session or professional relationship.

Therapists reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Massage sessions are strictly non-sexual. Any suggestive statements or actions will result in immediate termination of the session wherein the client pays the full cost of the session. Law enforcement will be notified if deemed appropriate. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs.
Any inappropriate behavior and/or use of alcohol and/or drugs will result in termination of the session and professional relationship with the client.

Bethesda Therapeutic Massage Center accepts Cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card and American Express. Payment is due at the time professional services are rendered.

If a client presents with signs and/or symptoms of illness that contraindicate massage (fever, undiagnosed rash, contagious infection), the session will be re-scheduled. This is to protect the health of both the client and the therapist.
Massage serves is a therapeutic tool to enhance well-being. Massage is not a substitute for medical treatment. Massage therapists are not qualified to diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or perform spinal/skeletal manipulations.

We ask clients to not speak in the hallway and to turn off all cellular phones during their visit at Bethesda Therapeutic Massage Center.
